Real Housewives of Orange County icon, Vicki Gunvalson, gave Bravoholics an inside look into Shannon Beador and John Janssen‘s relationship around the time Shannon’s DUI.
During an episode of Jeff Lewis Live, The OG of The OC dished on how close she and her boyfriend, Michael, were to the former fiancées.
For context:
Vicki began, “When the accident happened, Shannon was renting out Michael’s place. [Michael and I] were very close to this.”
“John Janssen was doing all this” for Shannon, even taking his ex to doctors appointments, continued the slighted Bravo TV star.
“We had dinners together after that” which was two months later at the time.
At “the end of the day John was there for Shannon during the situation,” reasoned the RHOC legend.
The paps:
When Shannon’s accident became national news and the media became involved, Shannon and John Janssen’s relationship took a nosedive.
“Then, paparazzi were outside of Michael’s house so we could come to Coto [the super-exclusive, private community where Vicki and Michael reside]. Nobody’s going to get through the gate. It’s quiet there. That’s why I like living there.”
“Shannon comes” to Coto de Caza. “She’s in the downstairs bedroom. She’s got Archie we’re all good. We’re a happy family, the four of us.”
That’s when Shannon’s situation with John Janssen turned sour, according to Vicki.
“John was pissed. After she went to Coto he was crickets.”

At this time, “Alexis [Bellino] and John met at … a watering hole in Newport Beach that everybody used to go.”
“They met for the first time and the next thing you know they’re madly in love and she has a promise ring like a day later.”
“It’s very hurtful to Shannon.”
“John wants to redeem himself on the viewers and the other cast felt about it because I wasn’t filming with them last year.”
“Now, he’s using Alexis to supposedly redeem himself.”
