The Golden Life star Sonja Morgan clapped back at a theory that she doesn’t spend time with her friends/costars off-camera because she can’t keep up with them financially.
How it started
Instagram creator laurennapolitanopsyd wrote a lengthy post saying producers are “protecting Sonja” by “graciously editing out” her financial situation.
Dr. Lauren Napolitano, whose IG page has a disclaimer that says she posts for educational and entertainment purposes only, believes “Sonja is in a bind.”
“She’s not filming The Golden Life for the fame, she’s doing it for the paycheck. She has to pretend she’s comfortable with wealthy Palm Beach women when the reality is she may not be able to comfortably afford groceries or healthcare.”
The content creator used the scene where Sonja ate two entrees at Ramona’s dinner before the other guests arrived as evidence to support her theory.

The former Real Housewives of New York star entered the chat.
“Not one thing here is true,” began Sonja. “Real receipts. Not what you watch on TV 📺.”
A Sonja supporter chimed in to add, “Never read such a load of nonsense in my life. People just invent whatever they want for likes.” Known as the straw that stirs the drink, Sonja responded, “Thank you. Why would this person think what they see on tv is true.”
“You don’t need a PSYD to know tv is for entertainment. Incredible how many people texted me about this. 🤷🏼♀️,” added Sonja, whose name can be found in the Morgan Letters.
Fans showed up for Sonja. “I got the pleasure of meeting @sonjatmorgan while filming, and she was on time, put together, clearly sober, and HILARIOUS. None of this is true in any capacity.” Another wrote, “Sorry you’re the victim of some delusional fantasy here. Good for you for calling her out.”
