Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Lynne Curtin’s daughter, Alexa Curtin, has been cited for alleged drug paraphernalia possession in California.
Alexa’s latest run-in with the law comes as she continues to struggle with homelessness and drug addiction, following her emotional public plea for help earlier this year.
Lynne’s daughter was cited for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia months after publicly detailing her struggles with homelessness and addiction.
According to TMZ, Alexa received a citation in July at a Jack in the Box in Fullerton, California. Authorities allegedly found an opium pipe in her possession, resulting in a misdemeanor charge. Officials also noted that Alexa was experiencing homelessness at the time of the incident.
The outlet obtained Alexa’s mugshot, which showed the 34-year-old looking disheveled as she stared directly into the camera.
The latest legal trouble comes just months after Alexa made a heartbreaking public plea for help. In February, she opened up about her journey into homelessness and drug addiction, revealing that she began “drinking heavily” after high school.
Her drinking eventually “snowballed” into pill use before she ultimately turned to harder drugs.
“I’m here and I’m alive, but I don’t want to be. I’m not trying to get no one’s attention. I am f*cking being tortured. This is a cry for help,” Alexa admitted.
That same month, Alexa appeared in an “L.A. to You Int.” YouTube video, where she discussed her years-long fentanyl use and some of the traumatic experiences she endured while living in Los Angeles.
Among them were an alleged sexual assault and a car accident that resulted in her losing two fingers, which she attributed to her drug use.
Alexa also revealed that she had been cut off from her family, telling the Daily Mail that she didn’t “even have parents anymore.”
Alexa appeared on RHOC from 2009 to 2010 alongside her mother, father Frank Curtin, and sister Raquel. Her life since leaving the Bravo series has been marked by repeated legal troubles. Alexa has faced several drug-related arrests and was previously taken into custody for allegedly assaulting her then-husband, Michael DeVecchio. The two divorced in 2013.
She also accused a police officer of raping her in 2016 and later received a $2.5 million settlement.
