Next Gen NYC star Gia Giudice is ready for the next chapter of her relationship with longtime boyfriend Christian Carmichael — and she thinks an engagement could be right around the corner!
Gia recently moved in with Christian after years of dating, and she isn’t shy about hinting at what she hopes comes next.
“I would assume I could probably see my ring coming closer than not,” Gia told Us Weekly. “This is the next step, to move in with each other … and I would assume my ring will follow.”
Gia and Christian first sparked romance after meeting at the Jersey Shore in 2019. Since then, Christian has supported Gia through her college years at Rutgers University and her transition into adulthood, including the ups and downs documented on Next Gen NYC.
The couple’s latest milestone comes as Christian moves into Gia’s Jersey City apartment. Although they considered relocating to Manhattan, they ultimately decided to stay put while juggling new career opportunities, including the opening of Gia’s restaurant, Il Vero.
Gia admitted she’s been busy clearing out closet space to make room for her boyfriend, but she’s looking forward to experiencing everyday life together. “I’m excited to just come home to him every night and him come home to me every night, and just kind of feel what life is going to be like for the rest of our lives.”
Teresa and Joe Giudice’s eldest dorter also addressed criticism surrounding Christian’s involvement in filming. After some hesitation during Season 2, Gia insisted the narrative that he dislikes reality TV is false. She explained that adjusting to filming was a learning experience, especially since she grew up in front of cameras on Real Housewives of New Jersey.
According to Gia, Christian is her “biggest supporter,” and fans will see plenty more of him in Season 3.
As for what’s ahead, Gia teased that the upcoming season will deliver “lots of drama,” with the friend group becoming more comfortable addressing its underlying issues.
