Zac Affleck is breaking his silence after news broke that his wife, Jen Affleck, filed for divorce.
On Nov. 4, news broke that The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star had filed to divorce Zac after seven years of marriage.
The following day, Zac uploaded a five-minute TikTok video addressing the headlines and revealing how he learned about the filing.
“It is true that I found out through a TMZ reporter about the filing,” Zac began.
“This is something we’ve been talking about for a long time.”
The soon-to-be father of four revealed that Jen approached him after competing on Season 34 of Dancing With the Stars, expressing that she was unhappy in their marriage and wanted a divorce.
However, Zac admitted that he “begged” Jen to stay and attempt to work things out.
“Ultimately, we just couldn’t make it work.”
Despite their split, Zac vowed to remain Jen’s “biggest fan.”
As for his biggest priority? Their children.
ICYMI: Jen is currently pregnant with the couple’s fourth child, meaning the soon-to-be exes will have four children under the age of five.
“I feel like I’ve failed my kids and I’m worried that I’m going to cause some damage,” Zac admitted.
However, he reassured viewers that he and Jen are on the same page when it comes to their co-parenting plan.
Toward the end of the video, Zac also reflected on some of the factors that may have contributed to their marriage falling apart.
He acknowledged that having children while navigating the pressures of a reality show that “really hurt people’s lives” didn’t exactly help their relationship.
