Alleged fraudster Dr. Wendy Osefo admitted she seriously considered walking away from Real Housewives of Potomac before returning for Season 11.
After seven seasons on the Bravo reality show, Wendy revealed that deciding whether to come back wasn’t an easy choice. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Wendy admitted she questioned whether she wanted to put herself through another season.
“I’ve been on the show seven seasons, and I feel like I’ve had that [thought] a few times. But this time, it was a resounding, ‘Do I even want to go back? Do I even want to put myself in this position?’” Wendy shared.
“I think if it was left up to me, my answer would have been no.”
But, Wendy’s loved ones, including her husband, Eddie Osefo, encouraged her not to let her story end just yet.
Wendy described Eddie as someone who has “been a champion for me always,” explaining that she turned to him for advice when weighing her future on the show.
“He’s always a cheerleader for me, and naturally, as my husband, I spoke with him and said, ‘What do you think? Should I go back?’” she recalled. “He says, ‘Yeah, I definitely think you should go back. I think that your story does not end here, and just see it through.’”
The couple ultimately leaned on a familiar piece of advice they also give their children. Wendy explained that when their kids are involved in sports, they often remind them to see their commitments through.
Hearing Eddie apply that same philosophy to her Housewives journey gave Wendy the push she needed. “To hear your husband use the same phrase that you use on your children, it sort of makes you toughen up because it’s like, if I say this to the kids, I have to be able to receive it, so see it through,” she explained.
