Five Vines Wine Bar is a Real Housewives Of Orange County cast hotspot, and I can attest to why! This family-owned-and-operated restaurant can be found in the heart of beautiful San Juan Capistrano and was rated in the Top 25 Wine Bars in the U.S. by Travel and Leisure.

You may remember a sit down between Heather Dubrow and Gina Kirchenheiter from the season 17 episode 16 called Welcome To the Freak Show. Before Gina’s circus event, she and Heather discussed whether Heather called Gina a loser, as Tamra Judge claimed.
During a quick trip to Dana Point, California, my mom and I decided to enjoy an early dinner at Five Vines. I indulged in Steph’s Bring On the Bubbles wine flight that featured three unique sparkling wines. For $16, guests can savor a Cune Cava from Spain, a Scharffenberger Sparkling from Northern California, and – my personal favorite – the Gustave Lorentz Cremant from Alsace, France.

My mom and I started with the Pear and Beet Salad, which highlighted the freshness of the California produce. For $15, patrons receive a generous portion of freshly cooked diced red and yellow beets, fresh sliced Bartlett pears, dried cranberries, goat cheese and fresh greens, perfectly dressed in a crisp, white vinaigrette. Guests have the option of adding protein for a surcharge.
Next, we enjoyed the Roasted Vegetable and Spinach Salad for $16. The hearty (vegetarian) dish featured maple-dijon Tahini tossed spinach paired with a medley of roasted Brussel sprouts, butternut squash, cauliflower, sweet potato and parsnips. The salad is topped with crumbled goat cheese and offers protein options ranging from $2-$8.
