Attorney Ronald Richards took to Twitter to clarify the Judge’s ruling regarding Erika Jayne Girardi‘s involvement in her estranged husband’s alleged crimes of fraud and embezzlement.
Don’t know how this got confusing and misreported: On 1/26, parties tell judge they are dismissing to talk settlement or refile in CA. 1/27, they file a stipulation to dismiss. 1/29 case is dismissed WITHOUT PREJUDICE. If @erikajayne writes a big check, case won’t be refiled. pic.twitter.com/G1lrxgkMtz

Simply put:
The charges against Erika were dropped in Illinois but will be refiled in California.

Case dismissed!
It’s a good day for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Erika Jayne Girardi, as all fraud and embezzlement charges have been dropped!
The official ruling:
US Weekly reported, โPursuant to stipulation, plaintiffโs claims against defendants EJ Global LLC and Erika Girardi are dismissed without prejudice and without costs,โ as per court docs filed in the Northern District of Illinois on Saturday, January 29, 2022.
Looks like Erika will be able to hold on to those $750K earrings after all!
ICYMI:
The Bravolebrity was accused of having prior knowledge that her estranged husband, Tom Girardiโs firm had covered her expenses for nearly 12 years; however, Erika continually asserted that she did not know about her Tom’s alleged crimes.
