Summer House‘s Amanda Batula is saying goodbye to In the City before the Bravo series returns for Season 2!
According to Page Six, Amanda will not be returning for the show’s sophomore season after reportedly being offered a reduced role. Sources have shared conflicting accounts of what led to Amanda’s exit, with her boyfriend, West Wilson, and salary negotiations both entering the conversation.
One source claimed Bravo wanted Kyle Cooke’s ex to return in a more limited, part-time capacity. However, Amanda allegedly wanted West to be included in filming. Showrunners, on the other hand, were reportedly adamant that he not appear on the series. According to that insider, the disagreement influenced Amanda’s decision to walk away altogether.
A second source disputed that account, telling Page Six that it simply isn’t the right time for Amanda and West to appear on the show.
Meanwhile, a third insider claimed money was the real issue. According to that source, Amanda wanted a certain salary for Season 2 that Bravo was unwilling to offer.
Regardless of the reason, Amanda won’t be the only familiar face missing when In the City returns. Season 1 cast members Danielle Olivera and her boyfriend, Eoin Heavey, were reportedly not asked back. Andrea Denver and his wife, Lexi Sundin, are also said to be out after welcoming babies following the first season’s wrap.
