Lisa Vanderpumpย explained why she skipped the soft opening of Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney‘s sandwich shop, Something About Her.
Why wasn’t LVP at the SAH opening?
In an interview with US Weekly, the matron of Vanderpump Rulesย credited her busy travel schedule as the reason she didn’t show up for Ariana and Katie’s highly anticipated opening.ย “I’ve been out of town. I’ve been in Lake Tahoe and I’ve been in Vegas. I’ve been in New York. I just got back from New York two days ago. I’ve been everywhere.”
Additionally, LVP assured her audience that it is not uncommon for restauranteurs to hold off on going to new restaurants. “I think [Katie and Ariana] need to take their time a bit. We’ll have a soft opening in a restaurant, but we won’t really invite people until you’re two or three weeks in.” That gives the time for the owners to “iron out the things. So, I don’t want to go in and judge that now. Let’s give them a couple weeks, a month, to settle in. That’s what we normally do in the restaurant business.”
Bravo TVย fans react:
- She only supports man-babies
- Sounds like she wants them to failโฆ.. so not down for herโฆ.. she is not a girls girl๐คข๐คข๐คข๐คข
- Lvp you need to support these young women 1/2 as much as the 2 useless toms
- I feel like these people have evolved past Lisa at this point. Itโs like getting visited by a scolding grandma when she comes onโฆ.
- She keeps opening restaurants but claimed she closed PUMP cause Ken is getting old and canโt keep doing this? Lies lies lies!!!

Other Bravolebrities in attendance were VPR alums Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark, The Valley‘s Kristen Doute, and Summer House‘s Lindsay Hubbard. Bachelor Nation‘s Kaitlyn Bristowe showed support for her close friend, Katie, while podcaster Danny Pellegrino (who co-wrote Ariana’s first book, Fancy AF Cocktails) showed up to support Ariana.
