Former New York City Mayor Eric Adams slammed Andy Cohen after the Bravo TV Executive Producer criticized his “chaotic” tenure in city hall.
How it started:
Andy described Mayor Adams’ stint as mayor as “chaotic” and “horrible” in another seemingly drunken rant during CNN’s coverage of New Year’s Eve 2025 in NYC.
“Watching the final moments of Mayor Adams’s chaotic, horrible … I just want to say, I mean, he got his pardons. I’m just saying. Great, you got your pardons. Go off into the sunset. We’ll fiddle with what we have, with what you’ve left us with,” Andy said while co-hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve show with anchor Anderson Cooper.
“You pardoned your way through four years, and all the clubs, we’ll see you there. I just want to say, goodbye, Mayor Adams, you did it, you did it, you did it, didn’t you?”
How it’s going:
Former Mayor Adams took to X (of course, lol) to shade Andy. “My response to Andy Cohen: AA.”
“Another sloppy drunken rant. If anyone actually cares about him, they’ll tell him to get help. New Yorkers aren’t laughing with him. They are concerned about him. Public intoxication is a disease. He should seek help.”
“He was safe in Times Square because we did our job.”
“Again. Seek help.”
The former mayor made a new acronym for the father of two, “AAA: Andy’s Alcohol Anonymous.”
Meanwhile, in NYC …

It’s a new era for New York City as Mayor Zohran Mamdani was sworn in to succeed Adams just after midnight on New Year’s Day. Mamdani criticized Adams throughout his campaign, arguing he was contributing to New York City’s affordability crisis.
On first day in office, Mamdani signed an executive order revoking most of the orders Adams issued after he was indicted on federal bribery, campaign finance, and conspiracy charges on Sept. 26, 2024. “That was a date that marked a moment when many New Yorkers decided politics held nothing for them,” clocked Mamdani.
Following Mayor Mamdani’s victory, Andy reportedly expressed happiness on Threads regarding the “democratic sweep,” distancing himself from potential challengers like Andrew Cuomo.
