Emira D’Spain thinks being transgender is the least interesting thing about her!
The Next Gen NYC fan favorite responded to a viewer on Threads who questioned why she doesn’t speak more about her identity.
The viewer also claimed Emira tends to be more open on social media about being transgender than she is on the show, despite it becoming a storyline.
“It’s not really something I talk about on social media either — it’s just one small facet of who I am but it’s not my whole personality,” Emira wrote on Sept. 5.
“I have always been selective when talking about my identity because it’s deeply personal and frankly the least interesting thing about me.”
ICYMI: In an effort to prove Charlie Zakkour is not a good person or friend, Georgia McCann revealed an alleged conversation she had with Charlie about Emira.
Understandably, the 29-year-old influencer felt her identity became collateral damage in Georgia and Charlie’s feud.
On the show, Emira decided to put her friendship with Charlie on ice because of his alleged insensitive and hurtful comments about her identity.
Meredith Marks, whose son Brooks is also a cast member on Next Gen NYC, took the time to defend Emira on Threads.
“Emira is fabulous and does not need to define herself – although she should and does stand up for who she is. She has shared many aspects of her life and who she is. This is bravo‘s youngest cast ever. They are all sharing. They are all growing and they are incredible. Give them a moment to shine. 💖 you will see and grow to love them just like I do.”
