Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s 15-year-old son, KJ Biermann, has been granted bond despite facing seven felony charges related to alleged sexual assault.
Judge Melynee Leftridge ordered KJ’s release following Friday’s “contentious” bond hearing, according to Page Six.
KJ’s bond was set at $200,000. As a condition of his release, he must live at Kim’s home, attend school virtually, and remain under electronic monitoring. He is also prohibited from using social media or a cellphone.
The teen is barred from having direct or indirect contact with the alleged victim, her family, or associates. He also cannot have contact with anyone 16 or younger.
KJ’s attorney, Jason Sheffield, had requested a $65,000 bond, arguing that his client’s incarceration had been “so traumatizing.” Sheffield also told the court that Kim would monitor KJ while he is at home.
Prosecutors opposed KJ’s release and requested a $190,000 bond, citing the seriousness of the allegations. According to prosecutors, the alleged victim suffered “documented physical injury” during the April incident and has been “living in fear.”
During Friday’s hearing, Deputy District Attorney Caitlin McGillicuddy also made a separate and disturbing allegation involving KJ’s phone.
McGillicuddy told the court that investigators previously discovered multiple videos allegedly depicting KJ sexually assaulting a female family member who was under 12 years old. She said the videos showed “multiple encounters” and alleged that KJ used “predatory, derogatory” language toward the girl.
According to the prosecution, KJ had already been under court supervision since October 2025 in connection with that separate matter.
KJ is scheduled to be arraigned on October 14 and is expected to plead not guilty.
