Comedian Nikki Glaser isn’t ruling out another trip to the ballroom, even if it means being the first celebrity eliminated from Dancing With the Stars (again.)
During an appearance on Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast, Nikki joked that she would happily return for what she called “a loser season” of DWTS, clarifying that she was willing to be “first voted off.”
Kylie wasn’t exactly thrilled with Nikki’s choice of words, but Nikki stood by her statement.
The comedian, who competed on Season 27 of ABC‘s juggernaut dancing competition, also recalled an embarrassing moment from her time on the show involving former host Tom Bergeron and judge Len Goodman.
After performing her first dance, Nikki said she was instructed to tell the audience, “I’m a dancer.”
“They told me to say that. ‘The audience wants to believe in your hope,'” she explained. “So, I don’t think I’m a dancer, but I’m like, ‘I’m a dancer.'”
Unfortunately, Len wasn’t buying it. “No. You are not,” the late judge told her.
But that wasn’t Nikki’s only awkward ballroom memory. During an interview with Tom, he asked whether being a comedian helped her on the dance floor. “Well, I’m not the best dancer, but I’ve had a lot of rough sets,” Nikki recalled.
Tom reacted with a surprised, “Woooooah,” prompting Nikki to clarify that she was talking about comedy sets, not something else. “No. No. SETS, like comedy sets,” she explained.
“We don’t talk like that around here,” Tom reportedly replied, thinking she was talking about rough sex.
Nikki said the audience started booing as she found herself being scolded for an unintended double entendre. “I wasn’t being dirty. That was my best behavior,” she insisted.
“I said, ‘Sets,’ but they thought I said, ‘Sex,’ so to save it, I go, ‘Well, I’ve had both.'”
Nikki admitted she doesn’t think the accidental innuendo was the only reason she was eliminated, adding, “It was many factors.”
Kylie, however, had a different theory. “I think that’s why you were out,” she giggled.
