Melissa Gorga reacted to Kathy Wakile who responded to an interview the RHONJ star gave about their recent meet up.
The Real Housewife of New Jersey called out her cousin in law over her version — aka “a reach” — of what went down between the two.
ICYMI: Kathy told Page Six that Melissa manipulated the timeline of their lunch reunion when she was on Jeff Lewis Live.
From Kathy’s POV, she and the Gorgas attended the same charity event only, Kathy never saw them.
Melissa sent a text to Kathy the following day expressing her disappointment that they attended the same event and neither cousin spoke to one another.
They ended up meeting to “clear the air.” Not that it did either party any good.
“Well this is a strange reach,” Missy G begins.
“I did reach out trying to connect the cousins with nothing but good intentions- she asked me to please not tell anyone we had lunch and not to mention it in the press or on my podcast. So I honored her wishes.”
“I guess she wanted to be the one to tell the story,” Melissa concludes.
Honestly, I’m team Melissa on this one. When Jeff Lewis brought up Kathy to Melissa, she purposely didn’t mention them meeting for lunch.
However, Kathy is flipping the narrative that Melissa fudged the timeline — she was simply just respecting her boundaries.
A case could be made though that Melissa is trying to get the Wakiles on her side as we inch closer to filming (potentially).
