Iris Kendall, our pouty queen from Love Island USA season 7, has confirmed her breakup with Pepe Garcia.
While their connection may have started more out of convenience and strategy, the slow-burn friends-to-more romance quickly became a fan favorite.
Viewers were rooting for Iris and Pepe to define their relationship once the cameras stopped rolling.
Unfortunately, things didn’t last long after the villa.
Post-press tour, rumors swirled that Pepe had cheated on Iris. Though the two weren’t officially exclusive, reunion commentary made it clear they were heading toward titles.
But as always, men find a way to complicate things.
Iris shared an exclusive statement with E! confirming the split:
“I had hoped to keep this private, but I’m so grateful for all of the love and support I’ve received since leaving the villa, and I wanted to share an update. The connection that I formed has ended, and while it isn’t how I would have imagined, I will always value the unique experience that we shared. It’s been a difficult transition, but I’m moving forward with hope, gratitude, and positivity for the future.”
She ended her note with appreciation for the Love Island fandom, saying:
“Thank you for continuing to stand by me—your support means more than I can ever express.”
As for Pepe? He’s denying all infidelity rumors and focusing on exploring his options.
“Right now it’s focusing on the next steps, next opportunities, and the next things that I wanna do for fun,” he said.
