Real Housewives of Potomac‘s Gizelle Bryant is in her feelings regarding Karen Huger potentially being sentenced to time in jail.
Gizelle told US Weekly, โIt really is sadโ that Karen is in this position.
What’s in store for ‘The Grande Dame?’
โI mean, do I want to see her go to jail,” asked Gizelle.
“Absolutely not. But, do I want to see her take accountability? For sure.”
The mother of three daughters continued, “I donโt know. Karen going to jail would break my heart. So, weโll see.โ
Karenโs sentencing hearing was scheduled for January 29, but was postponed after her trip to a “private recovery program” and firing her legal team. With her new lawyers, Karen will receive her sentencing on Wednesday, February 26th. She faces up to two years in prison.
Karen was found GUILTY:
The 61-year-old Real Housewife was charged with a DUI and DWI, negligently driving a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner endangering property, life, and person, as well as recklessly driving a vehicle in wanton and willful disregard for the safety of persons and property.
Other charges include failure to control vehicle speed on the highway to avoid a collision, driving a vehicle in excess of reasonable and prudent speed on the highway, driving a vehicle on the highway with suspended registration, and failure to notify administration of change of address within 30 days.
She was found guilty on all charges except reckless driving.
Karen’s ‘rehab’ stint:
Ryan Tresdale, Karenโs manager, released a statement on her behalf. โKaren made the important decision to enter a private recovery program, so she was unable to attend the reunion taping today.โ
โShe was fully supported in this choice. We stand behind Karen as she embarks on this meaningful journey, and we are proud of her for taking such a significant step forward in her personal growth.โ
Since Karen’s manager didn’t use the term ‘rehab,’ I couldn’t help but wonder …
Did Karen go to a resort/wellness retreat rather than rehab? This may be semantics, rehab and private recovery program aren’t necessarily the same thing.
