Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kemsley has changed attorneys amid her increasingly contentious divorce from PK Kemsley.
Attorney Ronald Richards claims Dorit has fired her current legal team, replacing attorney Samantha Spector with Julio R. Bardavid. According to Richards, Bardavid is based in the 818 area, while Spector’s firm is located in Century City.
Richards also claims the estranged couple’s attorneys still have not agreed on a formal order stemming from their recent court hearing.
“The parties still cannot agree on the order from the hearing over a week ago,” Richards said, predicting that Dorit’s change in legal representation could make matters “even more complicated.”
The biggest sticking point appears to be who will be responsible for servicing the debt connected to the couple’s Encino home.
PK does not want to be forced to make the payments, Richards explained, adding that PK would prefer to advance money only if he chooses and then be reimbursed. Richards added that PK has no objection to Dorit being reimbursed for any funds she advances.
The legal shakeup comes as Dorit and PK continue to battle over the sale of their home and how the mortgage and other expenses will be handled during the process.
