Another Love Island USA engagement is in the books!
Kyra Green, who was the first openly bisexual contestant on Love Island USA during Season 1 in 2019, is engaged to her girlfriend, Tal Sahar.
And while they didnāt meet in the villa, they still found love with one another ā with both women proposing on the same day!
āWe both got to have our own proposal on the exact same day,ā Kyra said in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE.
āI had spent so much time planning how I was going to surprise her, so the fact that she somehow managed to turn around and surprise me hours later was incredibly special. It truly felt like the perfect double proposal.ā
The joint proposal happened on Saturday, Sept. 5, at Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden in Pasadena, Calif.
The Love Island USA alum rented out the botanical oasis for the big moment because her partner had always dreamed of getting engaged āsurrounded by nature.ā
Kyra pulled off the surprise by pretending the couple was booked for a joint brand deal, even tapping her manager to create a fake call sheet.
Following the first proposal, the couple headed to Venice Beach, where it was Talās turn to pop the question!
āI couldnāt have asked for a better ending to the day,ā Kyra said.

After a āwhirlwind weekā together, the pair had to part ways when Tal traveled overseas to play professional basketball.
Eventually, they grew apart due to the long-distance relationship but ultimately found their way back to each other!
