Real Housewives of New York alum Carole Radziwill believes her late cousin-in-law/friend Carolyn Bessette Kennedy would have gotten a kick out of her reality TV tenure.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Carole was asked what Carolyn would have thought about her time on RHONY.
“I think she would have gotten a kick out of my RHONY career,” Carole said.
That doesn’t mean Carolyn would have joined the reality TV world herself. Carole made it clear that JFK Jr.’s wife wasn’t looking for reality TV fame.
“No,” Carole said when asked if Carolyn would have appeared on the show. “But she would have loved it.”
Andy Cohen pointed out that Carole’s decision to join RHONY came during a pivotal moment in her life. He described it as “a circumstance of your circumstance,” suggesting that Carole may not have accepted the Bravo gig if her husband, Anthony Radziwill, had not passed away.
“It really was a moment you were at a crossroads in your life, from what I can recall,” Andy said. Carole agreed, recalling that she didn’t exactly understand what she was signing up for when Bravo came calling.
In fact, when she was first offered a role, Carole misunderstood the offer. “I thought it was Watch What Happens Live,” she admitted.
