Gen Lillie is explaining why she’s taken a step back from promoting Below Deck Mediterranean.
The Season 11 interior crew member revealed that she stopped actively posting about the show due to what she says has been silence from the network and production surrounding a domestic violence situation involving a cast member.
“As some of you may have noticed I have stopped posting regularly about a show I participated in last year due to the network/production company’s silence due to a DV situation involving a cast member,” Gen wrote via Instagram on Oct. 5.
With October marking Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Season 11 bosun Nathan Gallagher facing domestic violence-related charges involving his former partner and co-star Gael Cameron, Gen said she didn’t feel it was appropriate to continue promoting the season as usual.
“I believe silence is complicity and with so much violence still happening against women I believe you should never stay silent on anything like this.”
As of the conclusion of Season 11 of Below Deck Med, neither Bravo nor Below Deck has publicly addressed the allegations involving Nathan.
However, Bravo has reportedly severed ties with Nathan behind the scenes and will not be working with him moving forward.
ICYMI: An arrest warrant was issued for Nathan after he failed to appear in an Australian court on Sept. 1, 2026.
He was subsequently convicted in absentia on domestic violence-related charges, including assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent, and common assault.
The charges stem from a December 2025 arrest following an incident at an apartment complex near Sydney, Australia, involving Gael.
