HGTV star Christina Haack changed her IG handle back to her maiden name after using Christina Hall for months after her separation from Josh Hall.
Christina made the switch days before the premiere of The Flip Off, which was conceived around Christina and Josh working as a married team against Christina’s ex and his new wife in a house-flipping competition.
The post:
Paired with a car selfie, Christina posted the following message to her Instagram grid. “2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣ … When no one can destroy my peace and only positive + high-frequency vibes can enter my aura.”
“My secret to bouncing back is I have never identified with the negativity and ‘comments.’ [I’ve] stayed firm in being authentically me, I’m slightly crazy (but the good kind 😜), and I will never ever give up on my goals and dreams. 🚀 ✨”
While Christina didn’t point out her name change, her fans did. “Just noticed the official Instagram handle name change! Congrats 👏🔥❤️,” commented a fan. Another wrote, “Haack it is!! 👏💪💪.”
Others encouraged her to keep her head up. “You’ll know when you have a real man. We take care of our queens… and their hearts.” Of course, skeptics made their voice heard in her comments. “Haha just don’t get married again for at least the next 5 years and all will be well 😀.”
The show must go on!
Despite Christina and Josh’s split, HGTV proceeded with The Flip Off.
Christina and Josh were slated to compete against her first husband/Flip Or Flop co-star, Tarek El Moussa, and his new wife, Heather Rae El Moussa. Selling Sunset fans remember Heather as Heather Rae Young during her single days in the Oppenheim Agency.
Amid issues between Christina and Josh’s marriage unfolding on-camera, production chose to pivot. Rather than continuing to film with Josh, he was replaced with Christina’s long-time contractor, Michael Lange.
The Flip Off premiers Wednesday, January 29 at 8 p.m. ET on HGTV.
