Savannah Chrisley revealed the plan for her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, since they were released from prison via presidential pardon.
Fresh out the slammer, The Chrisleys are heading back to reality TV.
Savannah teased The Chrisley’s new show:
ICYMI, the family was filming a show about their lives while Julie and Todd were in the clink. On May 25th, production sources told TMZ that โphone calls they make from prison will air on the series.โ
Since Sav’s parents were pardoned, they will take on bigger roles moving forward. “Obviously, we’ve been filming. We had just wrapped filming for all intents and purposes.”
“Then, we got the call that they have been pardoned. So, we picked [cameras] right back up” for the extension of the Chrisley project.
“We’re excited because I think this new show is going to give people a look into the trial and things we went through. We are going to set the record straight. It comes full circle because we go back, then we get into the part where mom and dad are pardoned.”
“Now, we move forward with our lives.”
FYI, Savannah and her brother,ย Chase,ย are serving as executive producers of the show. Savannah took custody of her younger siblings after her parents went to prison. Itโs safe to assume all that and more will be covered in the upcoming show.
The crime and the time:
The Chrisleys were convicted of financial crimes back in 2022.ย They were found guilty of submitting false financial documents to obtain loans and then using those funds to support a lavish lifestyle. They concealed their income to evade taxes.ย
Todd was sentenced to 12 yearsย in prison, Julie to 7. Their appeals for lighter sentences have been denied. But, they were pardoned anyway.
