Kyle Cooke has broken his silence following the day’s rehashing of “Scamanda.”
The In The City star clarified where he stands after his estranged wife, Amanda Batula, decided she would no longer film for the show’s second season.
“There’s already enough negativity online, and the last thing I want to do is add to it. So I want to be clear, and then I’m leaving this alone,” Kyle shared via his Instagram Story on Oct. 29.
“Despite our differences, I will always care about Amanda, and when it comes to people I care about, I fight hard. Sometimes too hard,” he continued.
The DJ admitted to letting his frustration “get the better of him,” but maintained that his feelings remain the same.
Still, Kyle said he had hoped he and Amanda would have the opportunity to talk things out on the Summer House spinoff.
“Ultimately, I wanted us both to have the opportunity to share our perspectives on the show. But at the end of the day, Amanda has her own life and makes her own decisions, just as I make mine. I’ll leave it there.”
ICYMI:
Earlier in the day, the dormant “Scamanda” waters became active once again when it was revealed Amanda opted to walk away from In The City.
Some reports alleged Amanda walked because production wouldn’t allow West Wilson to film alongside her, while others pointed to alleged salary disputes.
However, Amanda told Instagram account Your Moms Are Watching that online negativity played a major role in her decision.
“The continued hate from fan accounts and the internet is a huge reason why I decided I wasn’t ready to film again and put myself back out there,” she explained.
Kyle also entered the chat, leaving and later deleting a comment on West’s latest Instagram photo dump that accused him of being an alleged partier.
“More like you a coke head that blew my ex’s life and career up,” Kyle wrote.
