Like many of us, The Valley‘s Brittany Cartwright was gagged upon hearing Michelle Saniei was dating rap icon Dr. Dre.
Entertainment Tonight caught up with Brittany, who commented on the founder and CEO of Aftermath Entertainment dating Michelle. ICYMI, they were first spotted holding hands outside LA’s Nobu in April.
It’s like this, and like that, and like this, and uh …
Brittany wasn’t physically in The Valley when the photo of Michelle and Dr. Dre dropped. “I was traveling. As soon as I started getting service, Kristen’s text message came through. It’s like, ‘Dre and Michelle?’ I was like, ‘What the hell are you talking about? Dre?”
“I didn’t even know what she was talking about,” explained Brittany.
“Then, I get messages from Janet. And then my Instagram DMs were blowing up. I was just like, ‘WHAT IS HAPPENING?! It was funny, kinda.”
“I love Michelle. I support her, always.” Britt continued, “I want nothing but the best for her. I have been really busy, so I haven’t had a face-to-face with Michelle. We’ve talked here and there, but whatever she wants, I support her.”
Brittany pointed out, “She’s single. She deserves to have fun.”
“No matter what, I love her.” Cruz’s mom concluded, “I just want her to be happy.”
Several cast members from The Valley commented on Michelle’s relationship with Dr. Dre. Her ex-husband, Jesse Lally, revealed he learned about the new couple on social media, like the rest of us!
At the time, Jesse told TMZ, “I did not get a heads-up” when speaking about his ex’s romance with the iconic rapper. He “saw it on social media the same way as everyone else.”
Noting the new couple’s 24-year age gap, Jesse “didn’t see this one coming.” Considering Michelle isn’t a rap girlie, Jesse was extra taken aback. “I don’t think she ever listened to rap music. So dating Dr. Dre, good for her.”
Michelle and Dr. Dre are getting acquainted, but Jesse goes waaaaayyy back with Dre. “N.W.A is the first cassette I ever bought in 1988 — the year Michelle was born — so good for her.”
