Tom Schwartz said something to Brittany Cartwright that made her realize Britt’s WeHo not coming to fruition is “a blessing in disguise.”
For context, the owners of Jax’s Studio City offered Brittany a similar deal in West Hollywood. Unfortunately for Brittany, the deal fell through early last month.
A life lesson courtesy of Schwartz:
Brittany gave information about her ill-fated bar to BravoTV.com. “[The partners] sold it out from underneath me without me knowing.”
“They kind of like screwed me over a little bit there. But I think it’s a blessing in disguise because a keeps telling me all the time that having your name on a bar is so hard.”
Tom Schwartz – of TomTom and the now closed Schwartz & Sandy’s – warned Brittany of the dangers of having an eponymous bar.
“[Tom’s] like, ‘I would never put my name on a bar again.’ And he kept telling me that even before [Britt’s WeHo was announced],” Brittany continued. “So I was like, OK, you know, that sucks. I was very excited about it. I was like grateful for the opportunity.”
Frustrated, she continued, “I had already picked out all the wallpaper, all the seat coverings. I mean, literally, everything was ordered and done. So, it was all kind of a shock to me.”
Britt is booked and busy since her backhanded blessing:
“I have so many things coming up,” boasted Brittany.
“Huge brand deals and stuff that are really big and I’m really excited about. I’ve shot a couple of commercials and things that haven’t come out yet that I’ve already done. But, yeah, there’s a lot of things I’m looking forward to. And who knows? Maybe something better will come along.”
“You know? Maybe Mamaw’s Beer Cheese will be sold to Walmart or something,” she continued with a laugh. “You know, I don’t know.”
“I have a trademark [for Mamaw’s Beer Cheese], that I pay for.” (Which is why it was taken off the menu at Jax’s.)
