The Traitors US Season 4 stars Maura Higgins and Rob Rausch are teaming up as hosts of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here.
Peacock has ordered an updated U.S. version of the long-running British hit reality competition series, with Maura and Rob set to co-host. The series is expected to premiere in 2027.
The new series will put celebrities and their non-famous friends or family members together in a dense jungle, where they will face a series of physical and psychological challenges. The duos will have to work together to earn rewards and avoid elimination, with the last team standing taking home a $100,000 prize.
The hosting gig marks another major opportunity for the Traitors Season 4 stars. Maura and Rob became two of the season’s biggest personalities after forming a close bond in the castle. However, Rob ultimately revealed himself to be a Traitor during the finale, blindsiding Maura and winning the season while she finished as the runner-up.
Now, the former rivals will be working together again as co-hosts.
The U.S. has tried bringing I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! to American television twice before. ABC launched its version in 2003 with host John Lehr and contestants including Melissa Rivers, Caitlyn Jenner, Tyson Beckford and Cris Judd, who ultimately won.
In 2009, NBC revived the format with hosts Myleene Klass and Damien Fahey. That cast included Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag, Lou Diamond Phillips, Janice Dickinson and Stephen Baldwin, with Phillips taking home the victory. Neither U.S. version returned for a second season.
This latest attempt comes with a significant twist: Rather than competing alone, celebrities will be forced to rely on a friend or family member as they battle the elements. The twist puts their most cherished relationships to the ultimate test.
