Ashley Darby is calling out a costar she says keeps different energy on camera versus off.
The RHOP star took to her Instagram Stories to address the recent spike in discourse surrounding her alleged “hookup” with Charrisse Jordan’s 27-year-old son, Jackson.
ICYMI: Charrisse recently spoke with Carlos King, accusing Ashley of using her son for a storyline.
Charrisse went as far as to call the situation “incestual,” explaining that friends should view their friends’ children as their own.
She also revealed that she discussed the hookup with Robyn Dixon — who reportedly believes Ashley and Jackson went further than Ashley originally claimed.
Charrisse then called out what she views as a major double standard.
She noted that if the roles were reversed and an older man pursued one of Gizelle’s daughters, it never would have flown.
Naturally, headlines of Charrisse clapping back in the press — after remaining relatively passive on screen — made their way to Ashley.
Ashley Claps Back
“I appreciate the people who maintain the same energy they had during the season in the off-season,” Ashley said.
She added that she finds it “odd” when people start acting “buck” once the cameras go down.
Ashley also reminded viewers that both parties involved were consenting adults.
“I will be perched and ready, sitting on the couch at the reunion,” she said — while subtly shading her costar, suggesting Charrisse is craving more online attention than she is.

Charrisse isn’t wrong that the optics would be far more troubling if the genders were reversed.
However, Ashley isn’t wrong to be confused by Charrisse joking about the situation on camera, only to later label it adjacent to incest in interviews.
But that’s nuance and that’s Housewives.
