Alan Cumming has an opinion on Tom Sandoval‘s wardrobe in season 3 of The Traitors. The Emmy award nominated host revealed the Vanderpump Rules‘s villain’s luggage didn’t make it to the Scottish castle for filming right away. Alan noted the distinction from Tom’s usual garb and the attire he was dressed in by production.
Alan responded to a shady meme about him, Tom, and Zara’s suits:
Instagram creator, @BravoBuds, created a meme that made it’s way to Alan’s radar while filming in the Scottish castle. Admittedly, the meme went over the Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion actor’s head at first. But, when the joke clicked, Alan lost it.
Alan elaborated, “I showed this to the stylist on set, and she said, ‘My God. Tomorrow he is wearing another Zara women’s suit.”
“What was funny was his luggage was lost the first few days so [production] had to dress him. So, he’s got some great looks in the first few days,” Alan shadily noted. “Definitely the first look he’s got is very good. He actually embraced the tartan, embraced a kilt. I was very, very pleased and proud.”
Lest did Alan know this isn’t the first time Tom’s worn a skirt. We are forever haunted by his BravoCon2023 ensemble.

Alan revealed Sandoval “made some mistakes” while filming. “He made some gaffes and made some mistakes that put him in much more hot water because of that. It was actually great.” Alan admitted, “It’s fascinating when you see these people with these reputations and you see them all trying to reinvent themselves. It’s a very leveling show, The Traitors. It doesn’t really matter what you did before.”
Alan believes The Traitors will have an interesting impact on Sandoval. “In some ways it will redeem him, in other ways it will just reinforce what everyone thinks. I wish I could tell you – there’s a fabulous coincidence thing happened.”
