Alan Cumming revealed Tom Sandoval “made some mistakes” while filming The Traitors. The Emmy nominated host also learned about the karaoke enthusiast’s (now retracted) lawsuit against Ariana Madix. In an interview with ET, the iconic Scottish actor admitted he had only knew of Tom because of the Scandoval cheating saga.
Sandoval’s time on The Traitors:
“There are some people in the zeitgeist that transcend being on their shows. And, obviously, I knew he was a big cheater. Actually, some hilarious things happen.”
The Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion actor continued, “He made some gaffes and made some mistakes that put him in much more hot water because of that. It was actually great.” Alan admitted, “It’s fascinating when you see these people with these reputations and you see them all trying to reinvent themselves. It’s a very leveling show, The Traitors. It doesn’t really matter what you did before.”
Alan believes The Traitors will have an interesting impact on Sandoval. “In some ways it will redeem him, in other ways it will just reinforce what everyone thinks. I wish I could tell you – there’s a fabulous coincidence thing happened.”
Tom’s lawsuit against Ariana:
Alan was asked to comment on Sandoval decision to sue the woman he cheated on with her close friend … for six months … in their home. As the ET interviewer explained Tom filed a lawsuit against Ariana for finding out he was being unfaithful, Alan’s face painted a picture worth a thousand words. As he rolled his eyes, he said, “Come on, Tom.”
