The Season 34 champ is facing online backlash after she accidentally posted a private text exchange with her husband, Carson McAllister — one fans believe threw “shade” at finalist Dylan Efron.
In the brief upload (which was deleted shortly after), Witney and Carson were discussing Zac Efron’s surprise appearance in the ballroom during Prince night.
Reddit did what Reddit does, and screenshots spread within minutes.
In the messages, Witney allegedly accuses Dylan and his partner Daniella Karagach of trying to “get votes” from the audience.
A claim fans quickly pushed back on, considering Zac only showed up once this entire season.
Meanwhile, yes… Dylan still made it to the Season 34 finale.
For what it’s worth, Robert Irwin had his own family advantage — weekly audience support from his mom and his sister, Season 21 champ Bindi Irwin.
So, the “family boosting votes” argument is kind of a wash.
As of this post, Witney, Carson, and Robert haven’t addressed the situation.
Daniella and Dylan also haven’t acknowledged the supposed snub.
