Venita Aspen is taking accountability after a messy moment on Southern Charm.
Following episode “Loose Lips and Deep Rifts,” Venita took to her Instagram Story to apologize to co-star Molly O’Connell after revealing personal medical information on camera.
In the episode, Venita and Salley Carson discuss how Molly underwent vaginal rejuvenation surgery.
The conversation quickly veered into speculation about how Molly paid for the procedure, with the women questioning whether a sugar daddy might be involved.
That gossip eventually made its way back to Molly, who confronted them about the rumor during Craig Conover’s party.
Unsurprisingly, the moment didn’t land well and Venita knew it.
“I made a careless comment about Molly. No matter the context, the comment was not my place to share. I understand that,” Venita wrote in her apology.
She emphasized that she apologized to Molly immediately and reiterated that sentiment again after the episode aired.
“Molly deserved better in that moment. I am thankful for the grace that Molly gave me,” she continued.
Venita ended her statement with a reminder to herself and to viewers that women’s bodies should never be up for discussion.
“Another woman’s body shouldn’t be gossip. Another woman’s body is not a joke. Another woman’s body is not for judgment. Ever.”
For her part, Molly confirmed there’s no lingering tension. Responding to a fan account that asked if she and Venita were on good terms, Molly shared:
“We are! She has apologized multiple times and continues to show remorse. I also received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from her yesterday.”
While this certainly wasn’t Venita’s best moment, she did end up owning it. Which is more than some can say…
