Tell Me Lies’ Grace Van Patten Used Stassi Schroeder And Jax Taylor’s Relationship In Her Character Study

When art imitates life:

Grace Van PattenĀ from Hulu‘s hit series, Tell Me Lies, admitted that she drew inspiration for her character, Lucy Albright, from Bravo TV‘s Vanderpump Rules. In particular, she used Jax Taylor and Stassi Schroeder‘s dysfunctional relationship in her character study.

All roads lead to Bravo:

“I keep saying this,” began Grace. “Is it an excuse because I’m so obsessed with the show and I’m embarrassed,” she joked.

VPR “was a really good character study. Tell Me Lies is the scripted version of Vanderpump Rules. It’s all these young people being so terrible to each other.” They are “Messy and in denial. Just not great people at that age and at that point of their lives.”

“But, it was so fun to watch. I really felt like Stassi and Jax’s relationship from the first season. It reminds me a lot about it.”

Stassi’s status update:

After the southern born beauty was fired from Pump Rules, she focused on her herself and her husband, Beau Clark. They welcomed a daughter, Hartford, in 2021 and a baby boy, Messer, in 2023.

Stassi is currently on tour promoting her 3rd book, You Can’t Have It All. Taste of Reality’s Imani had boots on the ground last night on Stassi’s book tour appearance in Naperville, IL.

That’s not all!

Stassi will star on two upcoming Hulu shows. First, Stassi will star as a ā€œlead cast memberā€ onĀ Lisa Vanderpumpā€˜s hospitality show. Additionally, the NYT best-selling author is also getting a half-hour docu-comedy called, Stassi Says.

Tell Me Lies, as told by VPR alum Jax Taylor:

:: Pregnant pause ::

While Stassi grew and thrived after her termination, Jax made different choices. The Valley‘s villain was recently served divorce papers by his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright. She also requested full custody of their son, Cruz, but remains open to Jax getting visitation. The former SUR bartender recently left a 30 day in-patient treatment stint and admitted to be a “narcissist.”

Regarding his lies, Jax claimed he was roommates with Channing Tatum. Then, there was the non-existent hockey job in Florida. Worst of all, Jax told the House of Villains cast (and its international audience) that Brittany had a stroke. She didn’t.

Brittany made Jax apologize and correct the misinformation he shared. It sounded like a stressed out mom making her naughty tween apologize for misbehaving.
