The casting agency behind The Real Housewives of New York City just shut down the internet’s latest round of casting rumors.
BravoandCocktails recently dropped a blind item claiming to have cracked the code for season 16’s cast lineup.
According to the rumors, Sai De Silva, Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank, and Jenna Lyons were all set to return as Apple holders.
The same blind also teased five supposed newcomers:
- Nicole Daisy Toye — Martha Stewart’s makeup artist
- June Ambrose — celebrity stylist
- Erika Faye Jones — real estate developer
- Sheinelle Jones — Today Show host
- Sarah Wetenhall — owner of The Colony Palm Beach & Hedges East Hampton
Naturally, the shakeup sent Bravo fans into a frenzy, especially with the franchise’s extended hiatus fueling speculation.
But RHONY’s official casting agency poured cold water on the whole thing. Posting from their Instagram account @castingnow2025, they flatly denied the rumors:
“Once again complete fake news. Please stop believing rumors. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.”
What This Means for RHONY Fans
The situation mirrors RHONJ’s ongoing casting limbo — with little clarity until Bravo (or Andy Cohen himself) makes an official announcement.
Historically, BravoCon (happening the second weekend of November) has been a prime stage for big reveals, so it’s possible we’ll get clarity then.
Still, there are small hints worth noting. Both Erin and Sai have entertained RHONY-related questions during recent Instagram Q&A’s, which could signal their return. Personally, I’d bet on at least Erin being back in the mix.
But until Bravo speaks, the only thing that’s official is… nothing.
