Layla Taylor is opening up about her sexuality.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star recently sat down with Jay Shetty, where she publicly shared her revelation for the first time.
“I’m gay and I’m bi and date women and men,” Layla said on the June 29 episode.
The mother of two revealed she’s questioned her sexuality for years but struggled with how to share that part of herself publicly.
“It’s just something that I honestly didn’t really know how to formally address for a long period of my life,” she admitted.
Layla also shared that she’s recently been exploring her connection with women, including meeting up with someone she’d been exchanging DMs with.
“We met up, and we hung out and it was just kind of like that first kiss of, like, this wasn’t like a drunk moment,” she explained.
“Like this was me intentionally going into a moment knowing how I felt about women.”
However, it sounds like Jay Shetty’s interview may also be one of the first times some of her SLOMW castmates are hearing the news.
“I’m very proud to be bi, and I’m very proud now to be out,” Layla contined.
“I hope that if anyone’s in a situation that I am as well, that, for a long time there, I didn’t know if I could come out and truly be myself. I hope that they can feel safe to do so and proud to do so.”
ICYMI: Layla was married to Clayton Wessel for five years before the pair divorced in 2025.
They share two sons, Oliver and Maxwell.
She later dated Cameron Jolly, who appeared on Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, before dating Mason McWhorter from July 2025 through February 2026.
