Kyle Cooke is officially on his apology tour… and I hate to say it, but it might actually be landing.
The Summer House star took to social media on March 26 to publicly apologize to his estranged wife, Amanda Batula, after his explosive behavior last summer, which included calling her a “dumb a** b****.”
“There’s no excuse for how I acted last summer,” Kyle wrote.
“The way I spoke to and about Amanda was unacceptable, and it’s brutal to watch back. But not nearly as painful as what she’s had to go through.”
ICYMI: During the episode Sleeping on It, Kyle’s insecurities about his relationship boiled over into a drunken rant, where he slammed Amanda for not supporting his latest venture into DJing.
While Kyle revealed that he and Amanda have already addressed the situation privately, he felt it was important to own his actions publicly.
“Amanda and I have already spoken about all of this, but I felt the need to acknowledge this publicly,” he shared.
“I’m truly sorry and regret the way I handled myself. I know nothing can erase the hurt I caused. She never deserved that, and I need to be better.”
At this point, this summer (and honestly, every summer before it) has made one thing crystal clear: their split wasn’t just inevitable, it was necessary.
