Comedian Casey Wilson facilitated a conversation with the cast before the they discussed their high-school friendships and feuds from 20 years ago.
In one case, an infamous feud ended up an actual friendship between Lauren and Kristin.
“I think it was great,” making peace and progress with Kristin since filming the reunion special last year. “It was part of what we wanted to show is that we’ve all grown, we’re all adults, a lot of us are parents. And I think that as you get older, you’re not worried about the small stuff.”
Lauren went on to share that she and Kristin “have so much in common” and have continued their friendship. “We’ve been having so much fun just texting and talking and laughing together,” Conrad adds.
Kristin agreed. “I’m really happy about it. I’m thankful that we had the opportunity to even do that. We haven’t had any beefs for the last however many years. We’re adults. We’ve all moved past it. I think it’s nice to show everybody that we’ve moved past it. It’s going to be really therapeutic in a lot of ways.”
“We squashed it pretty quickly. Everyone wants to still believe that we’re enemies,” continued the Uncommon James creator of the pair’s past feud. “But it’s been great getting to know her now as an adult. And I’ve realized we actually have a lot more in common than I think both of us ever thought. So it’s been interesting to see.”
The Reunion: Laguna Beach streams on the Roku Channel on April 10.
