Gizelle Bryant and her daughters don’t Stan rapper, Eminem.
The Real Housewives of Potomac star and her daughters told PEOPLE that the rapper’s music has been boycotted by the Bryants.
Siri, skip!
The gorgeous Love Hotel star and her girls change the channel when the ‘Lose Yourself’ performer comes on the radio. “Oh my God, no,” Slim Shady doesn’t get streamed around Gizelle, Grace, Angel, and Adore.
“It’s funny, because if it comes on the radio, in the car, my kids would be like, ‘That’s Eminem. Turn it.’ My kids are on top of it. They know. No, no Eminem for us.”
Word on the street …
In February 2023, Eminem filed an opposition against Gizelle and Robyn Dixon’s application to trademark their podcast’s name, Reasonably Shady.
Marshall Mathers stated that his brand will be “damaged” if they are issued the trademark. “He also said ‘Reasonably Shady’ can ‘cause confusion in the minds of consumers,’ who have known him by his monikers Slim Shady and Shady since the late ’90s.”
The names “Slim Shady” and “Shady” have been exclusively used by the 8 Mile actor “for entertainment services since 1998 and owns the trademark for ‘Shady’ to use on merch.”
Bravoholics will have to continue to survive without “Reasonably Shady “water bottles, lip gloss, sweatshirts, hats, jackets, and socks,” if the 8 Mile actor has his way.
Robyn and Gizelle’s Reasonably Shady branding, “simply looks and sounds like Shady. [It] suggests that it represents the services of Mathers,” argued the Kim rapper’s team.
Eminem’s attorney added, “Reasonably Shady so resembles Opposer’s mark Slim Shady, Shady and the mark Shady Limited in terms of appearance, sound and commercial impression. When applied to [Robyn & Gizelle’s] goods, [it may] cause confusion and mistake and deceive.”
