Aaron Phypers began the process to adopt Eloise, Denise Richards’ adopted daughter, but may not have finished.
Now that Aaron’s filed for divorce from the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, it appears Aaron may not be Eloise’s legal guardian.
This has turned into an episode of Maury:
TMZ originally broke the story that Aaron filed for divorce from Denise due to irreconcilable differences. “The now former couple had been married for over 6 years. They share no minor children.”
In case you forgot, Aaron claimed that he was in the process of adopting Eloise in 2019. RHOBH fans were led to believe Aaron was Eloise’s legal dad.
However, no final legal adoption status has been found online. Additionally, Aaron’s recent divorce filings are rumored to suggest that Aaron isn’t officially Eloise’s legal father.

In May, In Touch reported that Aaron’s lawyers told debt collectors not to go after Denise’s money since they weren’t married.
They argued that the debt collector had provided no “admissible evidence that [Aaron] and [Denise] are actually married.” Therefore, Denise is NOT responsible for Aaron’s debts.
