Dave Portnoy is back with some Tea by the Sea about a disgruntled Summer House star.
The Barstool Sports founder took to his “Tea” Instagram account to respond to Bailey Taylor’s allegations that his media network stole her intellectual property.
For context, Bailey launched her “It Girl” brand in 2023, which just so happened to be around the same time Barstool rebranded its “Chicks” account.
The Chicks in the Office hosts reportedly felt the “Chicks” handle was too similar to their own brand.
Since Chicks in the Office is a Barstool podcast, the company decided to pivot.
According to Dave, the “Chicks” account chose a random, available and “ubiquitous” name — It Girl.
He also claimed he had no involvement in the account’s rebrand, despite Bailey personally tagging Dave and attacking his character.
“No one in this world knew who Bailey Taylor was at this point,” Dave said in his defense posted on Oct. 8.
“It would be impossible to steal from somebody you didn’t know existed.”
The podcaster also included messages he allegedly received from Bailey, whom he called a “total psychopath,” showing she made her feelings toward him very clear.
“This Bailey Taylor is a nasty, nasty woman. A nasty little cantaloupe,” Dave continued.
Some of the messages Bailey allegedly sent Dave included her calling him an “ugly fat pig” and saying “the world despises him.”
That’s Not It, Girl
The Summer House star posted a second TikTok, this time directly responding to Dave after her initial video called out Barstool.
Bailey made it clear she’s been in the influencing space for years — and successfully at that — building a community and career centered around women uplifting fellow women.
The Bravoleb also doubled down on the direct messages she sent Dave that he included at the end of his rebuttal.
“Everything he said I said was nasty, I wish I was 10x nastier,” Bailey said.
“I think that man personally is a disgusting lowlife who should be in jail for what he did to other women.”
In one of her final comments to the Barstool frontman, Bailey highlighted the difference in length between her initial “rant” and Dave’s Tea by the Sea response.
“My ‘rant’ was 20 seconds; he was 4 mins.”
Bailey says this will be the last time she speaks about the drama now that she’s made her side of the story known.
And that’s been your Taste of RealiTea by the Sea!
