Crystal Minkoff is calling out Kyle Richards for potentially “faking” an altercation with her.
Crystal appeared on RHOBH from seasons 11 to 13 before exiting the franchise in 2024. During her time as a diamond holder, she found herself at odds with many of the women — namely Kyle Richards.
Kyle found the Real Coco founder to be “dramatic” especially with her issues with Sutton Stracke.
A quick recap: Crystal alluded to Sutton harboring “dark” feelings surrounding the topic of race. Crystal withheld what Sutton said, but continued to call back to it all season.
Zoe and Max’s mom held strong to her “truth” and didn’t let the women dissuade her from using words such as “violated” and “dark” when describing her experience filming.
These were some of Crystal’s first interactions with the group and its clear Kyle hasn’t changed her opinion on the millennial.
However, on a recent episode of Crystal and Cynthia Bailey’s podcast, they spoke with Denise Richards about their time filming Housewives.
(To include a specific scene where Kyle argued with Crystal on camera at the Glenn Center, but asked what her plans were that night in the same breath off camera.)
Is this real?
“For me, every time I walked into a scene where I’m like, we’re fighting, I don’t know if it’s fake,” Crystal said on the March 3rd episode.
Cynthia Bailey asked for clarification as the fighting on RHOA is completely authentic.
What Denise and Crystal alleged is the cast would purposely antagonize a situation to create drama. The drama is real, per se but only for the cameras.
Cast trips were some of the hardest mental battles for Crystal to navigate — arguing on camera, and then “hunky dory” vibes when they dropped.
“I hated it and then also equally felt relieved. Because then I’d be like, ‘oh, okay, so that wasn’t real’.”
“It helped me get through it emotionally because I was like, oh, maybe they do like me and they just said all those things because now we’re having drinks.“
