Whitney Leavitt‘s husband, Conner Leavitt, opened up about revealing the hardest subject of his life – being sexually abused – on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives reunion.
CONTENT WARNING!!!
For context … at the SLOMW reunion, Conner disclosed that he’d been raped in his childhood. His admission generated a lot of conversation.
Connor continued the convo about the abuse he endured:
In a TikTok shared, Conner shared a carousel of photos throughout his life. Over each photo, the father of three wrote a heartfelt message to viewers.
“Talking about SA, especially as a survivor, is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I refuse to carry that anymore. You are NOT alone; You are NOT to blame; You are NOT what happened to you.”
“I shared my story so that maybe someone watching would feel less isolated in their own. Healing is not linear. It’s messy, complicated, and deeply personal. And however, you are walking through it: slowly, quietly, or loudly. Your pace is perfect.”
Conner continued his message by lending support to others who have experienced sexual assult. “If today all you did was survive, I’m proud of you.” He added, “If today you used your voice, I’m proud of you. If today you’re still finding the words, I’m proud of you. There is community; There is support; There is life beyond this. I see you. I believe you and I’m standing with you.”
Conner is gracious for the support he’s received:
“Lastly, I want to say thank you for the silent support, but mostly a huge thank you to my wife. Your love, affection and patience heals me. I’m so excited for you. I’m so proud of you and I can’t wait for the world to get to see you for YOU!” he concluded.
His wifeย Whitney Leavittย shared her support in the comments, writing,” I love you so much. Iโm the luckiest woman in the world to have you by my side ๐.”
“You have been my rock. I donโt know if Iโll ever be able to fully express my love and gratitude to you. I will work my hardest everyday to be worthy of you and your love.”
