Ciara Miller is reflecting on what she’s learned in the aftermath of “Scamanda.”
In an Us Weekly exclusive, the Summer House star opened up about the types of people and friendships she now looks out for.
“You can’t be friends with the insecure girl,” Ciara said.
“You can’t, you know, try to breathe life into someone that doesn’t see it themselves.”
As we saw over multiple seasons of Summer House, Ciara was one of Amanda Batula’s biggest champions throughout her rocky marriage to Kyle Cooke.
Time and time again, the Aftersun co-host encouraged Amanda to find a purpose outside of Kyle and Loverboy, something Amanda often said she wanted through launching her swimsuit line.
Ciara noted that the recent drama in her life has also resulted in some self-reflection and “house cleaning” when it comes to friendships.
“You gotta take a double, triple, quadruple take at some of the people in your life. And it’s definitely strengthened my gut,” she shared.
“Like, my gut did not fail me. My gut was right.”
ICYMI:
Much of the Summer House cast — and social media users — began noticing a vibe between West Wilson and Amanda, which they both vehemently denied.
Ciara and Amanda were also scheduled to do a joint Amazon Live earlier this year, but it was canceled in the wake of the rumors.
We later learned that cast members confronted both West and Amanda about the speculation and were told they were “just friends.”
Season 11 of Summer House is currently filming, and neither West nor Amanda is appearing as a full-time cast member.
Ciara, meanwhile, is heading into the season in her “f*** it era.”
“Like, you know what? Whatever comes my way, I can handle it,” she told the publication.
In addition to filming Summer House, Ciara will also head to Los Angeles to compete on Season 35 of Dancing With the Stars.
So far, Love Island USA‘s Maura Higgins, Savannah Bananas’ Jackson Olson, and Jimmy Kimmel Live! sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez have also been announced as competitors for the Mirrorball Trophy.
