Dancing With the Stars season 34 winner Robert Irwin has faith that Love Island UK/The Traitors US‘s Maura Higgins could go all the way on ABC‘s competition show.
ICYMI, the wildlife conservationist announced Maura as the first celeb cast on season 35 at Hulu’s Get Real event.
Robert’s prediction:
Bindi Irwin’s little brother thinks timing is on Maura’s side.
Robert told PEOPLE, “I walked her out [to announce the season in April], and she was like, ‘I feel like this is a good omen. Like, this was you last year, you were the first announced.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, I think the luck is on your side.'”
Maura was announced as one of the first two celebrity competitors to join season 35 of DWTS. Joining her is Summer House beauty, Ciara Miller. The full DWTS cast of celebrities and pro dancers will be announced at a later date.
Maura is manifesting:
After “manifesting” a spot on DWTS, Maura shared who she TINKS would be a perfect pro partner … Mark Ballas.
Never forget, both Maura and Mark competed on The Traitors together. Mark knew how badly Maura wanted to be cast on DWTS. “When I got the news, I texted him, ‘I’m going to beg for you. I really want you to be my partner.’ He was like, ‘Let’s just pray. It has to happen.’ He knows that I will give it my all.”
Regardless of who she’s partnered with, “I’m going to be happy,” declared Maura. “But, Mark would be perfect. That’s the dream, because we already have that brother-sister relationship. We have a lot of fun together. We just take the piss out of each other.” Maura added, “We would have such a laugh. And I feel like Mark understands me. He knows that if I’m getting in my head, he’d be able to get me out of it.”
