Britani Bateman was nearly an OG Salt Lake Housewife!
The RHOSLC “friend of” revealed to Virtual Reali-Tea that she made it pretty far in the casting process for the show’s first season.
“I made it pretty much to the end. You know, the house tour, the meetings,” Britani began.
“But I was married at the time and the person I was married to was like, ‘Oh, hell no.’”
ICYMI: Britani Bateman and her second husband, John Underwood, divorced in 2023.
Unfortunately, the end of their marriage quickly turned sour.
John was arrested and faced felony and misdemeanor charges for allegedly violating a protective order, stalking, and engaging in a campaign of harassment against Britani.
Court documents also accused John of doxxing her on TikTok, tampering with her home’s electrical box, and rerouting her mail.
Britani was eventually introduced on RHOSLC during Season 5 as a friend of Heather Gay’s.
And she wouldn’t have had it any other way.
“Who knows what my life would be right now,” Britani said in hindsight.
“I would never go back and change anything.”
Britani also teased that during the upcoming season, viewers will learn more about what led to the estrangement between her and her daughters.
“The years after being approached for Season 1 and being approached again were so dicey for me,” the actress continued.
“That’s also something that you’re going to start learning about me on Season 7.”
