Heather Gay understands Britani Bateman’s “purist” attitude toward many mainstream pleasures.
During the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City After Show, the ladies discussed whether or not they believe Britani’s admission of having never watched any Housewives episodes prior to joining the cast.
“I regret not knowing what I was signing up for. But on the other hand, I didn’t have any pretense,” Britani said on the After Show.
Many of the women didn’t buy Britani’s claim, however her “ally” on the show, Heather Gay, believes Britani.
Britani Has An Announcement
During last night’s episode, Britani finds herself with a target on her back when the ladies realize she is recording their fight in the sprinter van.
Considering last season centered around Monica Garcia being Reality Von Tease, it makes sense the women were highly sensitive to the invasion of privacy.
However, during Britani’s apology to the women, she revealed that she and Jared Osmond did actually have a physical relationship.

The ladies feel Britani has a tendency to be hypocritical or hiding who she truly is.

Heather Gay shed some light on why Britani acts the way she does.
“Im just going to speak on behalf of the culture of Utah,” Heather says during the After Show.
“There is kind of a stigma about watching shows like [Housewives]or consuming any sort of media that is deemed ‘less than.’”
The Mormon culture prohibits the watching of “rated r” material, which Heather argues RHOSLC falls within that category.
“It’s a moral stand more than it is a strategic move.”
“I think Britani is a great example of a lot of Utah culture. Which we saw in kind of some weird things throughout the season.”
