Real Housewives of New York legacy star Aviva Drescher believes Jill Zarin‘s “tirade” about Bad Bunny was “stupid,” but doesn’t believe she is “racist.”
In an interview with TMZ, Aviva explained her history with Jill and why she doesn’t think her comments came from a “hateful place.”
and we know what the only fake thing about Aviva is …
From the desk of Aviva:
“I would never think about doing a show with someone who I thought was racist.”
“I’ve known Jill since 2011, when I joined Housewives,” continued Aviva. “Even though we didn’t work together, we became friendly. I’ve never thought of Jill as racist. That was the thing that really stung the most awful about her tirade.”
For the former RHONY star, Jill’s comment that “there were no white people,” was the kicker. “I think it was a completely stupid comment.”
“I don’t think it came from a hateful place.” Aviva added, “I just don’t. I think it was completely stupid. It came off as completely racist, but I don’t think she’s racist,” concluded Aviva.
You’re fired!
ICYMI, Jill Zarin lost her gig on E’s ‘The Golden Life‘ after making racist comments about Bad Bunny’s halftime show. After deeming it “inappropriate” to perform in Spanish, Jill doubled down.
“This is my OPINION only on my personal account, not fact. Ally (Jill’s daughter) says I’m getting canceled, which she says every time I post. Seriously, though. How many times can I be canceled?”
Well, Jill f*cked around and found out, only to complain she wasn’t given a chance to repent. “They didn’t even give me a chance,” Jill told In Touch. “I took it down right away.”
“People make mistakes.” Jill concluded, “I’m human.”
