Former NFL player Kroy Biermann and his estranged wife, Kim Zolciak‘s son, KJ Biermann, is being held without bond for sexual assault, and his mugshot was made public.
FOX 5 Atlanta reported that authorities said KJ was being prosecuted under Georgia’s adult-court procedures, despite being 15 years old. KJ was arrested in Alpharetta, Georgia, in August 2026. Authorities charged him with aggravated sexual battery and aggravated sodomy.
The allegations stem from an incident in April of 2026 at a Life Time fitness facility in Alpharetta/Fulton County, Georgia. (Original reports said the abuse occurred on school property, FYI.)
The alleged victim was a female classmate who was also reportedly a friend of KJ’s girlfriend. She and KJ allegedly entered a family changing area/co-ed sauna. The victim alleged that KJ made sexual advances after she told him, “No.”
The complaint states that KJ attempted sexual intercourse, forced oral sex, and digital penetration. She alleged that she was eventually able to get away, after which KJ pulled up his pants and left the area.
The following day, April 24, the victim reported the alleged assault. According to the police documents, a subsequent examination found no male DNA in the areas tested. While that finding has become a major part of KJ’s defense, the absence of DNA alone does not determine whether an alleged assault occurred.
According to the reported court documents, KJ allegedly did not scan into the gym on the date of the incident. However, security footage reportedly showed him at the facility.
Jason Sheffield, KJ’s attorney, and his mom, Kim, have vehemently denied the allegations. They maintain KJ is “100% innocent.” Sheffield said KJ voluntarily took and passed a polygraph examination and claimed the defense has information concerning alleged prior false accusations by the complainant.
KJ has been charged, but he has not been convicted. The case is still pending, as KJ’s being held without bond until his hearing in early September.
