Ariana Grande is rumored to have been approached in a Real Housewives-inspired project with Jennifer Lawrence.
The pop singer – who wowed audiences as Glinda in the Wicked movie – didn’t confirm nor deny her involvement in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter.
The casting allegation:
“Agents and managers alike” have seemingly approached the No Tears Left To Cry singer for a wide range of potential projects. 1) a disaster wedding comedy, 2) a female detective romp set in a Housewives-style reality show, 3) a Spaceballs sequel. Unfortunately for her fans, Ariana has yet to “engage on any of it.”
Film Updates teased, “THE ‘WIVES a murder mystery starring Jennifer Lawrence and inspired by The Real Housewives is currently in development at A24.”
What we know so far:
In min 2024, Jennifer, an Academy Award-winning actress, will star and produce a murder mystery film called The Wives.
“Plot details are being kept in the body bag, but it is being described as being partly inspired by the Real Housewives franchise, which focuses on the soap operatic and over-the-top theatrics of well-to-do women in areas ranging from Orange County to Miami to Atlanta.”

Ariana’s Wicked co-star, Cynthia Erivo, revealed she’s a Bravo TV fan.
Cynthia spilled that her favorite reality shows are both the Real Housewives of Atlanta and Real Housewives of Potomac.
“It’s fantastic, they’re very honest,” the Broadway star explained. “I am a Nene Leakes fan. I love her. Where is she? Bring her back!”
Nene Leakes was honored that Cynthia Erivo wants her to return to RHOA. “I love” Cynthia, gushed Nene.
“So many people were sending [Cynthia’s clip] to me – inboxing me- what Cynthia had said.” Breaking the 4th wall, Nene looked at the camera. “Cynthia. I love you so much.”
She quipped, “Thank you, and I totally agree.” While Nene was flattered by Cynthia Erivo’s compliment, the Broadway powerhouse isn’t the only star to love The Housewives. “Honestly, so many people watch. So many stars. Big stars watch Real Housewives. They really do.”
Nene continued, “It was a pleasure to see that Cynthia loved the Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Playfully, she noted Cynthia Erivo “In particular, loved Nene Leakes.”
