Bravo TV executive Andy Cohen took to his Radio Andy show to reiterate that Real Housewives of New York is not canceled, nor ‘on pause.’
The RHONY rumor is rotten:
“I guess I need to say this again, even though Bravo said it. I don’t know how else to say it,” Andy continued. “We are between [seasons].”
“What’s so interesting, last week when I was here, the Bravo execs met with 10 potential Real Housewives of New York. This is called the casting process between seasons. It’s heavily underway.”
“That’s why nothing has been announced. I don’t know what to say. It’s odd. [The fake news] just keeps going on and going on. There you go.”
Andy already debunked the RHONY cancellation rumor:
On May 9th, Andy posted, “Nothing has happened with RHONY that’s different from before Bravo made those announcements earlier this week.”
“Weird story!”
Bravo TV had just announced four new shows, including The Valley Persian Style (Working Title) and Real Housewives of Rhode Island, just days before the false claim was made.
ICYMI:
Earlier this year, we reported that Real Housewives of New York producers were casting for “potential new ladies.” According to a source to US Weekly, once the new talent is scouted, decisions of “who is [coming] back and who isn’t” will be made.
“It depends on who they find,” the insider shared. “It’s unclear on how many cast members they are looking for, and who may stay or who may go. Producers are always putting feelers out to see if they can find anyone new.”
The production company in charge of casting for Bravo’s RHONY and RHOSLC is looking for the next “Big Apple” holder. “It’s that time…🍎. Come and get your apple.”
The casting agency posted that prospective Housewives should send an email to their production company to be considered.
